Pinot Noir

This is the main red grape of the Central Vineyards, making fresh-tasting, elegant reds with sweet-berry fruits in their youth, developing gamier, more Burgundian flavours as they mature. Also grown at the other end in the Vendée. As in Champagne, it can also be vinified as a white or rosé.
