The quality of English wines, both sparkling and still, is on the up. This is mainly due to a combination of investment in both vineyard and winery. The 2012 crop was small throughout the country due to poor summer weather but the wines produced are of good quality. Many members who have tasted English wines from recent vintages have been pleasantly surprised with their style.
