Chile

Reds:

The style of producers, range of grape varieties and climates of the different valleys produce a great variety of Chilean wine styles. The Doña Paulina range offers medium-bodied, balanced wines, which are fresh and very lightly oaked. Those of Lascar are rounder and richer with a little more oak influence. The varied climate and soils of Limarí are able to produce fine pinot and aromatic syrah.

Ignacio Recabarren makes our Society-label cabernet sauvignon, merlot and Exhibition merlot, as well as the Corte Ignacio, Terrunyo and Carmín de Peumo wines. His elegant style and light hand on the oak makes these wines a joy to drink.

Whites:

Chile continues to widen its range of wines. This year we add two botrytised sweet wines from opposite ends of the country. From the north, in the versatile Limarí valley, we offer a wonderfully grapy white wine made from pink muscat. From the south we offer a delicious riesling from Bío-Bío. Both have a lovely freshness that would work well with fresh fruits such as nectarines, melons or strawberries.

The Society was voted Specialist Wine Merchant of the Year for Chile 2012 at the International Wine Challenge for the sixth time.
