Malbec (Cot)

Better known these days for its key role in Argentina’s wine fortunes, and historically in Cahors, malbec is growing in importance in the Loire, where it is often known as cot. Modern vinification methods and refinement in vineyard and cellar have tamed this grape and, as evidenced below, it can make delicious rosé as well as red.
