Cidre Bouché de Normandie, 2011
"Not much of a reviewer of wine but this I will have a bash at: simply the best proper cider I've seen for sale, which should also appeal to the average cider drinker ie not incredibly oversweetened (think popular M brand) but not the nasty super dry just a nice sensible level. Also the malolactic fermentation has been kept in check leading to a mild fresh hay background which adds to the appliness, rather than the standard farmyard floor (not my cup of tea). As for cloudiness this is also very mild compared to a traditional scrumpy cider and the inital pour would not be overly noticeable to the average consumer.

Chablis, Domaine Sainte Claire, 2011
"Utterly delightful well-balanced Chablis that benefits from very little chilling. Keep the flavour full and clear with only 15 minutes in the fridge. Our kind of Chablis - crisp metallic edge with delicate fruit and fresh supple paste."

Pinot Blanc, Trimbach, 2011
"This is a sheer delight. I have had it cellared for five months now. This has been beneficial and it is now, I think, at its best."

Minervois La Livinière, Château Sainte Eulalie, Cuvée Cantilène, 2010
"This is a splendid wine of substance and quality. It has a beautiful, deep colour and a very smooth attack on the palate, a slightly sweet flavour but a very long and satisfying aftertaste. Those members who look at circulars for the various offers of en primeur claret, burgundy and Rhone with regrets that they are completely out of their ability to afford them, should take heart - here is a wine of real class worth every penny of the money. Excellent. Buy with confidence."

"Very over powering NZ sauvignon with strong green grass running through. Unfortunately too much and not enough to redeem it."

Côtes-du-Rhône Villages, Terres d'Argile, Domaine de la Janasse, 2007
"A superb wine, soft, full, spicy with roundness and complexity. You don't notice its 15.5% as you fail to resist topping up your glass again, but might feel it in the morning!"

Fitou, Domaine Jones, 2011
"Also surprised at poor reviews. I find it lovely and expressive, not at all closed or tight. Lovely herbal nose, smooth and rich on the palate with nice structure."
