Muscadet

Muscadet is both the appellation and the adopted name of the grape, originally more widely known as melon de Bourgogne. It produces wines with body and freshness, and is almost always vinified without the use of oak, so that its restrained aromas and flavours are maintained and it complements (rather than competes with) even the most delicate of fish dishes.
