Many of our growers practise what is called ‘sustainable viticulture’ which recognises the importance of keeping the soil healthy and alive and the vine strong and disease-resistant. Some cultivate vines ‘organically’ according to rules of a recognised discipline while others go a step further and farm biodynamically, a more holistic eco-management discipline based on the teachings of Rudolf Steiner.
