"I can only think Mr de Csillery drank a different wine to me. Like Mr Grainger I found this the most disappointing Pauillac I have ever tasted indeed I agree totally with the latter's remarks; the wine is bland and is absolutely not worth anything the money which we have already spent on it. I am only thankful that I was unable to obtain the Society's Christmas offer of Exhibition Pauillac if that is what it is like."

Mr Michael Hemery (31-Dec-2012)

"Clear, dark purple red, no sign of ageing. Clean nose, blackcurrant dominates, but hints of cedar and spice, perhaps a tiny greenness from the Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium palate, fruity but quite fine, tannins completely integrated. Medium finish. Great value for the price. Will certainly develop further (I gave this a couple of hours to breath and decanted before serving)."

Mr Andrew B De Csillery (26-Dec-2012)

"I wish I had read Mr Barker's review of the 2006 before buying 2 bottles of the 2007 as part of a mixed case for Christmas lunch. I didn't have the benefit of slow roasted venison but the 2007 version left me completely underwhelmed. Decanted 2 hours before, the wine showed little of the expected bouquet or fruit on the palate; very disappointing."

Mr Ewing Grainger (05-Jan-2012)
