"Fantastic - would go amazingly well with a tarte tatin; lots of caramel / fig. Lovely, and well worth the price."

Mr Tom King (12-Jun-2013)

"Raisins, figs caramel; not heavy though and with enough acidity to be fresh. Added to my order by accident (with the bottle I ordered subsequently despatched). A very happy mistake!"

Mr Jonathan Mumby (08-Apr-2013)

"This is very good - rich caramel sweet but not overcloying dessert wine. Always well received at dinner parties. This might explain why a half bottle now costs almost as much as a whole bottle did when I first bought it."

Dr Adam Moliver (12-Mar-2013)

"I love my dessert wines and this one is excellent value, better than many I've bought at 2 or 3 times this price. I bought one in a mixed case to try and am now buying more."

Dr Angela Dixon (03-Mar-2013)

"Very good value for money. Sweet and sticky but with a refreshing acidity and surprisingly complex considering the price. I must confess that I wasn't concerned with the choice of closure (cork) as I accidently polished off the bottle in a single evening. If you are after an inexpensive desert wine, don't go for a famous appellation like Sauternes as the cheap examples are usually cheap for a reason. Step off the beaten track and you will find gems such as this Greek Muscat."

Mr Richard Pfleger (14-Jan-2013)

"This is great stuff! Simple as that! Great looking bottle & labels, a sherry type closure would be a welcome addition but this wine doesn't last long enough in my fridge to matter really. Great colour & gluggy appearance, thick, yet with the acidity it does not become at all difficult to drink. Perhaps a little too easy to drink. Great price with a sensible alcohol level too. Great taste of old vine fruits with some apricot going on as well and perfect as an aperitif or with a fat wedge of cake!"

Mr Ryan Warren (12-Oct-2012)

"When I placed my order, I had a very nice chat with the member of staff of the Wine Society on the phone. I think her name was Laura. She said that this was her most favourite wine and told me a few things about it and why she likes it so much. Great to have such an enthusiastic endorsement of a wine when you order it, and I wasn't disappointed. Interesting colour: a fairly deep, reddish brown. Very unusual and intense aroma, there obviously are similarities to other sweet wines, but it's not quite like any I had before: raisins, dried apricots and figs, oak, roasted apples with almond splinters and vanilla custard, and coffee liqueur. Full body, think and viscous, fairly sweet, balanced by good acidity, delicious, ending in a long, quite savoury finish. Not at all alcoholic, despite its 15%."

Mr Nils Kurbis (21-Jun-2012)

"I bought this for a wine tasting - most people hadn't tried this style before and it went down well. I loved it - sadly I don't like blue cheese but it would round a meal off nicely on its own."

Ms Katy Benson (13-Jun-2012)
