Fine Wine List - November 2011 - August 2012

The Wine Society's Fine Wine List

November 2011 - February 2012

Tailoring our treasures to fit the thirty-odd pages of the Fine Wine List is always a challenge, and never more so than at Christmas. This is a time both for pushing out boats and battening down hatches, for pondering the right balance of quality and quantity to serve to our guests or the right bottle to present to our hosts. Last year, the best-laid plans disappeared under snowdrifts, so there’s an element of contingency planning too.

This is just a flavour of the wines available in the Fine Wine List; click here to see the full range.

  • Bordeaux 2010 will be remembered as a famous vintage and some of the wines featured in our two opening offers are still available to order. They can be viewed here.
  • The Society’s Food & Wine Matcher is an interactive tool designed to find the right wine to partner a particular dish quickly and easily.
  • Ratings and summaries of vintages from major regions and styles can be found in the online Vintage Guide.

Fine Wine Mixed Cases

While members can, of course, make up their own cases of wine, The Society’s range of pre-mixed fine wine cases have always been popular. They are a good way of distributing rare wines held in limited numbers and offer members the chance to try a variety of fine wines. All cases include UK delivery in the price and come with detailed case notes on the wines.
