HIGH-GRADE GREEKS

HIGH-GRADE GREEKS

Greece is making the finest wines in its history and buyer Sebastian Payne MW's excitement is clear. Here you will find wines that can challenge red and white Burgundy (not to mention a world-class 27-year-old dessert wine), but which remain staunchly, and deliciously, unique. These are incredibly exciting fine wines, and those who have yet to banish memories of oxidised retsina and open their eyes, noses and palates to the joys available are warmly encouraged to explore!

A PULIGNY-MONTRACHET MASTERCLASS

A PULIGNY-MONTRACHET MASTERCLASS

Burgundy’s Puligny-Montrachet has enjoyed a fine run of recent vintages. This collection is full of stories as well as magnificent wines. The vintages featured here offer compelling contrasts – the rich 2012 and fresh 2013 – conveyed by two of our favourite properties. Château de Puligny's wines are outstanding, while Jacques Carillon is making understated, elegant Burgundies at his own domaine. It all adds up to an unmissable selection.
