Bordeaux’s petits châteaux and the wines of the Bordeaux Côtes have never been better; at least in the hands of those caring growers we select who show attention to detail in both vineyards and cellar. There are many that we follow regularly – those whose wines shine even in more challenging, less highly regarded vintages. Numerous others we taste and buy when the time is right, aiming to add variety but maintain consistency of quality in our List.
For the whites, 2009 produced ripe, generous wines with good healthy fruit and nicely rounded flavours that many will prefer to the leaner, more classic Bordeaux style.
