Greece

The quality of Greek wine has never been higher. When the Greek wine renaissance began, producers relied on international varieties to add glamour, and these are still popular with the Greek chattering classes and play their part in blends. We believe, however, that Wine Society members will find most to enjoy in the original and delicious wines made well from local grape varieties best suited to the local climate. The Greeks have, after all, been making wine for thousands of years and were highly influential in spreading wine drinking culture.
