The Society's team of buyers, led by head of buying Pierre Mansour, travel for some 300 days and thousands of miles each year.
They are experienced professionals, whose brief is simply to buy only wines which they are enthusiastic about from producers who share their passion for quality at every price.
Because the buyers have long-term responsibilities for their respective regions, they are well placed not only to get the best deals from existing suppliers, but also to keep abreast of new developments.
