Vintage Ports, declared only when Douro stars are aligned, form the tiny apex of the port pyramid. In undeclared years, single quintas give a sense both of a year and a plot of vines, while late-bottled vintages, matured in cask, need no decanting. Aged tawny is a mellow treat.
