Moroccan wines

As far as quality is concerned, the best vineyards in North Africa are to be found in Morocco; surprisingly winemaking here actually predates the Romans. Unsurprisingly, given the climate, Rhône varietals thrive here, especially in the hands of producers like Alain Graillot, whose knowledge and experience from winemaking in the Rhône are paying dividends here. One to watch and not just as a curiosity.
