The island of Corsica deserves a special mention. Firstly because the 2019 vintage was spectacularly good. But more importantly because a new generation of growers is taking the stage.
People like Paul-Antoine Suzzoni of Clos Culombu who apart from everything else, masterminded The 2019 Society’s Corsican Rosé, which I think is the best ever. Or there is Marc’Andria Acquaviva from Domaine d’Alzipratu who is making elegant reds from ancient Corsican grape varieties.
