Offer for: Viña Zorzal Cueva de la Mora Garnacha, Navarra 2019

We are delighted once again to be able to offer members this wonderful garnacha from Viña Zorzal in Spain’s Navarra region, next door to Rioja. The fruit comes from a single vineyard, planted decades ago, high up in the hills of this northern region and harvested from the small but intensely aromatic 2019 vintage.

The team behind the Viña Zorzal Cueva de la Mora Garnacha, Navarra 2019

In Navarra, Cueva de la Mora or the ‘Blackberry Cave’ near Fitero is both landmark and legend. It inspired the poet and storyteller Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer to write his tale of the ill-fated romance between a Christian knight and a young Moorish girl, whose spirit haunts the spot. Little more than a decade after the story was published, The Wine Society was founded at the Royal Albert Hall, which features on the label.

The magic of the tale, the synthesis of ancient and cutting-edge, and the spirit of collaboration are celebrated in this gorgeous wine, which will give immense pleasure when it's delivered next year. I urge members not to miss it.
