Flavours of Argentina

Malbec and much more. Dive in and explore!

Argentina’s malbecs are in fashion charming British drinkers with their softly alluring, fruit-forward charm. What’s especially exciting is the growing variety and nuance available, depending on where the grape is planted.

I’ve picked out some excellent examples for you to try across a range of styles.

Other grapes are flourishing, too: cabernet franc is performing well (in blends and by itself), bonarda is a wonderfully exuberant fruit bomb and although Argentine chenin blanc may sound an unlikely winner, Roberto de la Mota’s ‘La Primera Revancha’ is world class.
