Win a 'Golden Bottle' worth at least £200 each working day in March!

Golden Bottle

Each working day throughout March we'll be adding at random a rare fine wine (worth at least £200) to an order leaving our cellars. We're nicknaming it 'The Golden Bottle' and anyone ordering for delivery or a pre-order for Showroom collection between 1st and 29th March is in with a chance of striking #societygold!

What on Earth?

We love to share the joy of good wine at every opportunity and we'd like to say a big thank you to our members! As a result of your support, The Society, the mutual we all own, enjoyed a great 2018. This is our way of showing our gratitude in the best way we can, with treasured bottles from our archive stocks – golden nuggets dug out from our cellars.

The selection is truly mouthwatering, featuring the cream of Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône as well as the best of the new world. If you could still buy the wines – most are now extremely rare – the market value would be in excess of £200 per bottle (you will be pleased to know that they were a lot cheaper before we carefully aged them!).

There are 21 working days in March – so that's 21 of these exceptional bundles of golden joy that could be in your glasses this spring. Good luck!

Golden Bottle

A mutual benefit

We believe everyone should be able to enjoy the best the wine world can produce. Unfortunately, we have watched aghast as the prices of these exceptional bottles have soared in recent years taking them way out of the reach of most of us wine drinkers. One of the advantages of Society membership is that, as a non-profit-maximising mutual, we’re able to buy fine wines at opening prices from the world’s greatest vineyards and winemakers, and to store them in our cellars until they are aged to mellow silky perfection and ready to drink.

This is your chance to try one of these truly exceptional gems. And for free!

Follow the hashtag #societygold on social media to track the golden bottles on their journeys – and if you strike gold, we’d be overjoyed to hear about it (if a tad envious, because Society staff can’t enter!).
