Château Beneyt

Château Beneyt

We have only stocked Château Beneyt since the 2009 vintage, but it has already grown to be one of our bestselling everyday clarets.

Based in the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux region to the south of Bordeaux, Château Beneyt is on the right bank of the Gironde, 10km downstream from the commune of Cadillac. The family owns 12 hectares of vineyards, four of which are dedicated to the production of sweet white wine. Vines are around 25 years old on average.

The Château has been owned by the Vrignaud family for three generations, and is currently headed by Joel Vrignaud. Fabien Laborde, right-hand man to Maison Sichel's technical director, Yvan Meyer, is the winemaker. The château continues to produce fruity, unoaked reds, with a surprisingly smooth, easy-drinking quality for such a reasonable price.
