Château Grand Français

This organically farmed vineyard is located north of Saint-Emilion on the slopes of the valley of the Isle where vines have been grown since the 15th century.

A relatively small estate at about 8 hectares, the vineyard is just the right size for the owners to take very personal care of the vines, ensuring that their organic methods are carefully targeted, with no herbicides or pesticides used at any stage.

The soils are loamy sand and the vines grow on a well-exposed slope facing south above the valley of the Isle river. The wine itself spends some time in Tronçais oak before bottling, with about 30% new with each vintage.
