Château Juguet

Château Juguet is a pretty 13-hectare vineyard situated halfway between Saint-Emilion and Castillon-la-Bataille at Saint Pey d'Armens, which produces excellent wines from the lower-lying plains of this renowned appellation.

The gravelly, sandy soils in the vineyard are planted with a large majority of merlot (70%), plus cabernet franc (20%) and the remainder cabernet sauvignon, with an average age of 25 years. Vinification is classical: the grapes are destemmed on arrival at the cellars before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats. Maturation takes place in oak for a year, 15% of which is new so that the fruit is to the fore.

The property is owned and managed by the Landrodie family and Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix are the exclusive distributors.
