Château Malbat

This estate near Langon, south-east of Bordeaux, belongs to the Rochet family who have been here since their forebear Alphonse Rochet bought the vineyard in 1865. Its 85 hectares are now run by Fabienne, Martine, and Daniel Rochet who farm their merlot, cabernets sauvignon and franc, sauvignons blanc and gris and semillon with sustainability to the fore. Their cellars are state of the art, with new thermovinification equipment, the result of almost constant reinvestment to ensure the quality of the wine and the patrimony of the descendants yet to come.
