Château du Moulin

Château du Moulin, is owned by the Behaghel family, and the ‘modern’ château’ sits on the site of a medieval castle, Château Peyrines, built in 1109. The house is located in the middle of 14 hectares of vines in the Entre-deux-Mers area, 45 kilometres south-east of Bordeaux.

Plantings are 50% semillon, 40% sauvignon blanc and 10% muscadelle and the soil in which they flourish is a mix of chalky clay and sandy-silty clay. Vinification is in the classic mould with temperature controlled stainless-steel vats for fermentation and maturation, with the maturation happening on the lees for a touch more complexity.
