Vilmart

Vilmart is one of the pioneering houses who set the benchmark for Grower Champagnes which many now follow.

The house is currently headed by Laurent Champs whose father, René, first instilled Vilmart's hands-on approach in the vineyard. The vines are worked in an eco-friendly way, with genuine respect for the natural environment. The family firmly believes that this approach is behind the remarkable flavours one can taste in the finished wines.

Vilmart Champagnes tend to be among the fullest and richest, thanks to a high percentage of pinot noir in the cuvée which is rounded off using oak casks for fermentation and larger foudres for settling over 10 months.
