Château Fourcas Hosten is a wide, low château from 1810, set on a small hill in the centre of Listrac village, close to the Romanesque church.
Fourcas Hosten has two very distinct types of terrain – 18 hectares of clay-limestone perfect for merlot and 29 hectares of gravelly soil essentially planted with cabernet.
The terroir allows it to perform particularly well in hot vintages. The wine spent 12 months in barrel (one third new). The château also makes a second wine so this grand vin is a selection of the best vats.
