This old family-owned estate is over 200 years-old and now run by brothers Joan and Josep d'Anguera. They have both injected a new lease of life into the estate, focussing in particular on garnacha, and they have also introduced a biodynamic approach to the farming of the vineyards.
Grapes are sourced from 4 hectares of their own vines growing on north-facing slopes over limestone and clay soils. The vines are between 15 and 50 years old.
The wines are made in tiny quantities: the two wines that lead their range are Altaroses (a pale, fine garnacha) and Planella (a dense, powerful mix of cabernet, syrah, garnacha and carignan).
