Domaine Romain Roche

The origins of this estate go back to the 17th century. In 1929 Victorin Roche helped create the cooperative in Cairanne and current owner Romain Roche's father, who was called Marcel, became both president of the local grower's syndicate and president of the cooperative, which at one time was one of the best in France. Romain Roche decided to leave the sanctuary of the cooperative and begin life as an independent grower in 2008, at first borrowing cellar space to make his wine and in then opening his own cellar in 2014. Generations of the family have ensured that the vineyards were all in good places and as a result of previous wisdom, Romain has the benefit of old vines.
