Château Vieux Lartigues

Château Vieux Lartigue is a small property in the commune of Saint-Sulpice-de Faleyrens, south-east of the town of Saint-Emilion. It has just over six hectares, planted primarily to merlot (80%) with cabernet franc making up the rest. The grapes are picked by hand and fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by 15 months’ maturation in part-new barrels. The wine was introduced to us by JP Moueix, the leading négociants in the area, whose expertise in judging such matters is unparalleled.
