CThe potential of the domaine at Château de Puligny-Montrachet has long been evident but since Etienne de Montille and a band of investors purchased it in 2001 it has really taken off.
The change has seen Etienne cut yields drastically and in his winemaking he has sought to allow the fruit and terroir to sing with more purity above the bass notes of any oak ageing. The domaine is sustainably farmed with no use of chemicals and a holistic approach to managing the vines and the environment in which they thrive. The domaine is once again among the best in Puligny. Etienne also manages his family property in Volnay, the Domaine de Montille.
