Boekenhoutskloof 2021

Four top wines from one of South Africa’s greatest estates

Boekenhoutskloof 2021

Among the very top names in Cape wine, Boekenhoutskloof make wines that are as beautiful as the iconic label that adorns their bottles. Their 2021s are sensational, and this offer includes their unique semillon, powerful Swartland syrah and the brilliant pair of Bordeaux blends from Franschhoek and Stellenbosch.

The 2021 vintage is hailed as one of the finest in recent memory for the Western Cape and has produced wines with impeccable concentration and an underlying freshness that helps reflect each wine’s unique style and terroir.

Order by midday on Friday 4th October

As well as being one of the loveliest old farms in the Western Cape, Boekenhoutskloof also now boasts a state-of-the-art cellar. This is the playground of cellarmaster Gottfried Mocke, who joined his old friend, Boekenhoutskloof Director Marc Kent, in 2015. Both of these investments have paid dividends in the quality and refinement in the wines offered here.

Indeed, the Bordeaux blends are two of the finest vintages I’ve tasted from this acclaimed estate, and the syrah (which uses a high proportion of grapes from their famed Porseleinberg) is one of the finest expressions of this grape you can find.

These wines can be enjoyed in their youth, but we highly recommend maturing all four in your cellars or at The Wine Society for at least another four to five years to enjoy them at their best.
