150th Anniversary dinner with Anthony Symington
We are back at the historic Crypt of St Etheldreda’s for a wine dinner with Anthony Symington, 5th generation at Symington Family Estates and Society buyer for Portugal, Freddy Bulmer. Enjoy a four-course meal paired with a selection of wines and ports from the Symington stable.
Please note: A letter advertising this event had the date incorrectly as the 21st October – the correct date for this dinner is Wednesday 30th October.
There is unfortunately no step-free access to the Crypt of St Etheldreda’s.
Symington Family Estates have been present in the Douro for five generations. They are an integral part of the long history of Port production and a dominant force in the Port trade, owning over 2000 hectares of land in the Douro valley alone, across 27 quintas (estates) in a wide variety of locations. Along with port, they have also been producing table wines from the Douro since 1999.
The Society is delighted to welcome 5th generation, Anthony Symington to guide members and guests through a selection of these wines and ports, paired with a delicious four-course dinner prepared especially by head chef Andy Barber and the excellent Bleeding Heart team at The Crypt.
