White Burgundy Trio
Wines included
Château de Beauregard, Saint-Véran Le Vernay 2022
Fine-flavoured unoaked Saint-Véran from a cool spot in Chasselas, which has succeeded in producing a fresh and beautifully balanced wine in this warm year. Taut and firm, it is unoaked to preserve its minerality intact. Matured on its yeast lees for 15 months in stainless steel vats to fill out the mid-palate.
Domaine Cordier, Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru Les Reisses 2022
A lovely Fuissé vineyard bordering Pouilly which seems to combine the richness of the former with the elegance of the latter.
Jacques Saumaize, Pouilly-Fuissé Les Courtelongs 2022
The top appellation of the Mâconnais, Pouilly-Fuissé, makes rich but balanced wines, and this one is taut, tense and fine. It comes from Courtelongs, a north-facing vineyard from cool Vergisson, and is Jacques Saumaize’s best wine.
