Zind Humbrecht Mixed Case

Alsace pinot gris from fruit grown predominantly on the chalky soils of the Clos Windsbuhl, for finesse, complexity and a touch of smokiness. A beautifully balanced wine that makes a fine and versatile food wine to harmonise delightfully with luxury seafood like a lobster thermidor or coquilles Saint-Jacques with their rich but delicious sauces. Great too with chicken liver parfait and the gentle spice of potted shrimps.

A concentrated pinot gris with crisp acidity and complex layers of smoke, red apple and ginger. The grapes are sourced from the famed Clos Windsbuhl vineyard and the class is evident. This would work particularly well well with smoked salmon, Asian spices and soft, ripe cheeses.

Expect verbena, citrus, flinty and yellow plum aromas in this fine riesling. The palate is rich and textured with vibrancy, energy and spice. From grapes sourced in the village of Gueberschwihr, the birthplace of the Humbrecht family.

Acidity and freshness are the driving force behind this blend of grapes planted in the famed Clos Windsbuhl vineyard. Chardonnay was chosen as an early-ripening variety that is well suited to its limestone soils, while one-third of the wine is the auxerrois grape. The delicious result has orange blossom, white stone fruits and citrus notes.

From the gravel soils of Turkheim, this wine is exuberant and exotic in character with a juicy acidity and grip on the palate that provide wonderful structure. A dry, food friendly style of gewurztraminer.

An intense, spicy Alsace gewurztraminer of great purity and a very, very long finish.
