Bodegas Muñoz boasts one of La Mancha's most modern winemaking facilities despite being one of the region's most historic, with some fine old-vine vineyards at their disposal.

A plump, full-bodied Rioja which is full of black-fruit flavours and a lovely touch of spice from the oak. This is comes from vineyards in the south of the region where the warmer weather results in a concentrated and weighty style.

12 months ageing in French oak has enhanced this contemporary expression of Rioja, toasty, plump and fruity. It's made by Bodegas Palacio, which lies in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa, at the bottom of the road leading up to Laguardia, a spectacular fortified hilltop village set against the backdrop of the Sierra Cantabria. Toasty vanilla meets vibrant black cherry fruit in this unmistakably classic Rioja. Smooth, silky, and packing a punch.

Tomàs Cusiné is making some of Catalunya's best wines. This is a flamboyant and powerful tempranillo-syrah blend which has lovely balance between fine tannins, spicy dark fruit, freshness and high-quality oak. This comes from Tomàs' organic vineyards in Costers del Segres which are around 40 years' old and is made in his tiny winery in the village of Vilosell.
