Minervois La Livinière Cuvée Cantilène, Château Sainte-Eulalie 2020

Isabelle Coustal`s premium Minervois combines southern warmth with almost Bordelaise poise in this rich, almost luscious, red of charm and sophistication. There is oak but it is finely judged and only adds to the complexity and polish.

The Society's 150th Anniversary Moulin-à-Vent 2019

The elements of the blend that make up this delicious Beaujolais come from four well-known and well-respected growers in the Moulin-à-Vent appellation. Just under 10% of the wine was aged in small three and four year old oak barrels, not to impart obvious oak flavour but instead to add to the texture and structure of the palate. This is a deliciously mellow, mature cru Beaujolais, with mid-ruby colour and a nose of brambles and dried herbs. Perfect with charcuterie, roast chicken or goose, or a mushroom ragout. Refined and classy cru Beaujolais. For more on the story of this wine, please scroll down.

Martinborough Vineyards Te Tera Martinborough Pinot Noir 2022

Martinborough is famed for top-quality pinot noir from small, boutique wineries. It is the silky texture, plummy fruit and well integrated but very present acidity which sets the wines from this region apart from pinot in other parts of New Zealand and this is a prime example of that. The nose shows black cherry, plum and charred wood with a delicate hint of smouldering embers. The palate is bright but brooding, with bramble fruit, redcurrant, sour cherry and a twist of cracked black pepper. This is a really well-managed and balanced pinot noir which is sure to please fans of light reds from both the old and new world.

New Zealand £17.00 per bottle
2023 - 2027

Sobon Estate Rocky Top Amador Zinfandel 2021

Amador County produces some of California's most powerful zinfandels from old bush vines. This is full-bodied, with sweet cherry, sarsaparilla, and vanilla flavours, soft well-integrated tannins and a long blackberry-scented finish.

USA £18.50 per bottle
2023 - 2029

The Liberator 'God's Own Country Part 2', Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley 2020

The undisputed highlight from buyer Matthew Horsley's latest trip to South Africa. Although technically the follow-on vintage to the hugely successful 2017 the blend is entirely different, this time eschewing the savoury syrah-led blend with a pure, lightly spice, finely textured and ethereal grenache. Redcurrant and crushed strawberry dominate the palate with baking spice complexity adding great character. Ideal for lovers of pinot and best enjoyed lightly chilled.

South Africa £14.95 per bottle
