Barbaresco 2020 Mixed Case
Wines included
Barbaresco Roncaglie, Poderi Colla 2020
Colla's family tended vineyard, Roncaglie, sits at 240 to 280 metres. This balanced site has lead to a perfumed nebbiolo, with orange peel and floral notes but with fine firm tannins and bright acidity that will allow this wine to age beautifully.
Barbaresco Nervo, Rizzi 2020
Winemaker Enrico Dellapiana always describes this vineyard as producing wines with tension. A seam of acidity, herbal spice that runs from perfume to finish carrying a blood orange-oil scent and sour-cherry flavours. A wine with real finesse and poise.
Barbaresco, Rizzi 2020
Only two wines in our entire 2024 Champions tastings received a top score from every single taster, a red and a white. The red was this Italian classic, which frankly has everything: elegance, balance, sweetness of fruit and savoury fennel-like complexity. Recommendations don`t come any more resounding.
Barbaresco, Rizzi Riccio 2020
Enrico Dellapiana makes this 'I Ricci' Barbaresco exclusively for us following a tasting of his crus. This year the blend is 45% Nervo vineyard, 45% Pajore, 10% Boito and it's stunning. Firm yet ripe tannins support concentrated red apple, pomegranate, and fresh black tea and there is tension, poise and great class. A fine example of Piedmont nebbiolo.
Barbaresco Poderi, Luigi Einaudi 2020
This is the first release for Einaudi`s Barbaresco, and it immediately hit the spot in tastings. Vibrant, lifted red-berry fruit with spice developing beneath is well balanced by fine tannins and wonderfully poised acidity that lengthens the pure summer-fruit flavours on the finish.
Barbaresco Sori Paitin, Paitin 2020
Made from a small parcel of old vines from the centre of the hill here, this is a splendid full-flavoured Barbaresco of coiled power and fine grained tannins, dark berry fruit and a brooding mineral promise.
