Fruity southern Rhône from high-altitude vineyards above Beaumes-de-Venise. The blend is half grenache with syrah and 10% each of carignan and viognier. Almost fruit-cake-like with full-flavoured, ripe plummy fruit and lovely balance.

Domaine de Saint Amant
This is a family estate located high up in the Dentelles de Montmirail above the pretty village of Suzette. The countryside is nothing short of breathtaking with views over the mountains and the valley far below.
Curiously for an estate located within the Beaumes de Venise appellation, there is not a berry of muscat. Instead most of the production is red with the white coming from viognier with a little roussanne.
