Bristol - Spanish Lunch with Sumarroca and Lopez de Haro
Join us to celebrate all things Spain with two of our most important Spanish producers at the famous Bar 44 in Bristol.
We’re already salivating at the idea of a specially designed menu from Bar 44 alongside wines from two of our favourite Spanish producers – Sumarroca and Lopez de Haro.
Join our buyer for Spain, Pierre Mansour, as he welcomes guest speakers from both premium Cava producer, Sumarroca, and dynamic Rioja estate Lopez de Haro and enjoys an afternoon of family style dining with our members.
The stories of Sumarroca’s incredible heritage and fine-tuned winemaking spanning many generations will be wonderfully complemented by the innovative, relatively recently established Lopez de Haro who already taking the region by storm. Both producers are already adored my members, and very important to The Wine Society, proudly making our own label Cava and White Rioja respectively.

Sit back, relax, and let the Tastings & Events team guide you through the wonders of food and wine pairing, whether it be at a restaurant takeover, themed dinner, Members’ lunch, or foodie masterclass. Our team will help members learn the building blocks of how the flavours and sensations in food and wine interact. The menus for the events are usually provided on registration but do let us know of any dietary or seating requirements.
Members who attend our 150th anniversary events will be entitled to our usual 10% tastings discount on most available wines shown. Our limited edition wines, however, are in short supply and we will therefore not be able to offer the discount on all wines. Please note, this discount will also not apply to wines that are already discounted.
