A plump, full-bodied Rioja which is full of black-fruit flavours and a lovely touch of spice from the oak. This is comes from vineyards in the south of the region where the warmer weather results in a concentrated and weighty style.

Casa La Rad
Casa La Rad is a large farm of some 800 hectares located 17 miles south-east of Logroño in La Rioja. On this rugged terrain in the foothills of the Cantabrian mountains, they farm olives, cereals, almonds and, most importantly to us, grapes. Their 110 hectares of vines supply all the fruit for their wines, 65% bush vines and the remainder trellised, toug all the fruit is hand-harvested. Tempranillo, graciano, garnacha, mazuelo, maturana tinta, tempranillo blanco, malvasia and viura are all planted.
