Castello di Potentino, Sacromonte 2018
A unique estate on the northern foothills of Monte Amiata in southern Tuscany, owned by Englishwoman Charlotte Horton, making mellow barrel-aged sangiovese with gentle spice, bramble fruit, garden herbs and full body. This has more in common with good Châteauneuf than northern Chianti but a personality all its own.
