Wines included

2022 - 2028

Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Clos des Papes 2013

An outstanding wine made from what was the lowest yields on record at this estate, with grenache particularly affected. As a result, it makes up a little over half of the blend with more mourvèdre to make up the balance. It offers a full-bodied palate with remarkable texture, a multi-dimensional range of flavours, with liquorice and kirsch, culminating in a long finish. Decant for best effect.

France £55.00 per bottle
2019 - 2036

Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Le Bois Pointu 2013

2013 was a long drawn out southern Rhône vintage with the grenache not harvested well into October. Yields were derisory and the wines needed ageing, but this is now ready, a tightly wrought Châteauneuf that will be ideal with food.

France £52.00 per bottle
2021 - 2029

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Château de Nalys, Guigal 2018

A Châteauneuf of exceptional quality and from an estate of historical importance, now owned by the Guigal family. From the Le Crau plot, and based on grenache, with a generous dollop of syrah, along with mourvèdre, counoise and vacarèse, this is concentrated, luscious and richly flavoured after lengthy ageing in large oak foudres.

France £60.00 per bottle
2021 - 2030

The Society's Exhibition Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2020

Dark and fruity Châteauneuf, refined and richly textured with a flavour of ripe fruit and gentle spice. There are hints of fig and bay leaf. Perfectly rounded and ready to drink.

France £24.00 per bottle
2022 - 2031

Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Clos du Calvaire 2020

This is a lovely Châteauneuf: ripe, round and designed to give pleasure in its youth. It will be delicious with richly flavoured pork or roasted Mediterranean vegetable dishes.

France £28.00 per bottle
2022 - 2028

Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Saintes Pierres de Nalys, Guigal 2019

2019 was a stunning vintage in the Rhône, as evidenced by this sumptuous, rich-tasting yet well-rounded Châteauneuf. Laden with ripe, figgy fruit and spice.

France £37.00 per bottle
