Château Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Léognan 2010

One of the finest wines of the great 2010 Bordeaux vintage, and one that re-established Haut-Bailly as the leading château of Pessac-Léognan after Haut-Brion and La Mission. A complete wine with velvety texture cloaking a wonderfully rich mix of fine and persistent flavours, evocative of ripe, black fruits and autumnal scents. This wine is a Museum Release: thanks to our member-owned co-operative model, our buyers are able to buy wines to mature in the perfect conditions of our temperature-controlled cellars and release them when they are ready to enjoy.

France

Domaine Maume, Grand Cru Charmes-Chambertin 2011

Forward and extrovert, this is a nicely balanced red Burgundy from an overlooked vintage which is drinking very well now.

France £100.00 per bottle

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Collection Privée Lucien Diffonty, Domaine du Haut des Terres Blanches 1971

Richly flavoured, leathery and spicy, this vibrant and remarkable wine is a testament to the keeping qualities of Châteauneuf, and is now very developed and for fans of fully mature wine. The Diffonty family has been implicated in the Châteauneuf appellation since before it was created in 1936. The vines occupy a site at the heart of the appellation and close to the village itself. A tradition in the family has always been to hold wines back for several years, which is the case with this 1971. Enter Louis Barruol of Château Saint Cosme in Gigondas. Louis is both a vigneron and a merchant and by chance was able to get his hands on this extraordinary wine. The wine was well-stored in Châteauneuf and was recorked a few years ago. This is a unique opportunity to delve into Châteauneuf’s history and enjoy a 50-year-old bottle of wine, richly flavoured, leathery and spicy, vibrant and a testament to the keeping qualities of Châteauneuf.

France £70.00 per bottle

Domaine Henri Boillot, Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Mouchère 2016

Henri Boillot's 2016 white Burgundies are among the very best made in this vintage. The 2016s have a remarkable combination of ripeness and freshness, traits that usually diametrically opposed, and this superbly balanced wine has grand cru weight and density, yet somehow wears it lightly. This wine is a Museum Release: thanks to our member-owned co-operative model, our buyers are able to buy wines to mature in the perfect conditions of our temperature-controlled cellars and release them when they are ready to enjoy.

France £115.00 per bottle

Riesling Schoelhammer, Famille Hugel 2010

An exquisite wine from an exquisite vintage in Alsace, one which the Hugel family say has the 'freshness and balance of 2012, with the maturity of 2009'. Sadly only 2,268 bottles were made for the world, but what a remarkable, silky, rich riesling it is.

France £90.00 per bottle

Torbreck 'Descendant' Barossa Valley 2013

This full-bodied, classic Barossa red is a blend of 92% shiraz and 8% viognier. A nod to the northern Rhône, the viognier adds aroma and lift, though this is a full-throttle example. Having aged beautifully, this mature, mellow and savoury Australian red has mouthwatering, complex notes of spices, leather and blackcurrant.

Australia £100.00 per bottle
