White Wine from France - Rhone
Stephanne Rousset makes two white wines from partly steep vineyards in the northern part of Crozes where the soils are essentially of weathered granite. This is his top wine, made mainly from old Marsanne grapes, low yielding and both fermented and aged in barrel with around 20% in new oak. The strength of the 2020 vintage is obvious here in a wine that has concentration of matter, yet finesse and a wealth of rich fruit flavours.
