Made by the son-in-law of Hermitage grandee Bernard Faurie, this is ripe, firmly structured and finely balanced Crozes. Plenty of fruit and good length of flavour, Elegant rather than powerful.

Emmanuel Darnaud

Emmanuel is a young, enthusiastic grower in Crozes Hermitage and is married to the daughter of the great Bernard Faurie. For the time being he makes Crozes and also Saint-Joseph which he inherited from his father-in-law. His family grew fruit and grapes which it sold to the cooperative in Tain l'Hermitage so Emmanuel is the first in the family to make the wine himself.
