Dog Point Section 94 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Dog Point's flagship single-vineyard sauvignon, this is wild-fermented in barrel, giving a more savoury character, and bags of complexity. 2019 is outstanding and would suit lovers of Burgundian chardonnay, with its toasty, citrus and nutty notes while retaining sauvignon's hallmark zest.

Dog Point Marlborough Pinot Noir 2022

Vibrant in its youth, this pinot shows generous cherry, plum and redcurrant notes on the nose, all beautifully polished. The palate is lifted and succulent, with well integrated, fine-grained tannins and precise, focused acidity carrying the fruit flavours through to the finish. With time in a decanter savoury notes come through, and maturity will soften it into a plush, mellow pinot with notes of leather and forest floor complementing the fruit. This is one of the best examples of Marlborough pinot noir from a leading producer.

Dog Point Marlborough Chardonnay 2022

This is a chardonnay not dissimilar to fine Chablis, albeit with a little more generosity of fruit. The nose shows alluring toastiness underneath citrus zest and peachy fruit. The palate has a mouthwatering salinity which complements the texture and notes of straw, stone fruit and fine lemon pith. Long, textured and truly delicious. This chardonnay showcases the very best of Marlborough's impact on the grape; finesse, elegance, focused acidity and bright citrus and stone-fruit flavours. Dog Point is one of the great names of New Zealand wine and they make some of the very best expressions of this famous region, never feeling the need to pander to trends, but instead having an absolute dedication to quality and reflecting the terroir.
