Dr. Edge Tasmania Pinot Noir 2024

0 star rating 0 Reviews
Dr Edge is the personal project of award-winning Hobart-based winemaker, Peter Dredge. The nose is pure and delicious, with mellow redcurrant, pepper, dried herbs and a hint of bramble. The palate is fresh, textured and beautifully structured, with vibrant fruit and a layered finish. This demonstrates the finesse of Tasmania in a generous and pure way. 2024 marks the 10th vintage of pinot noir for Dr Edge and the wine is adorned with a new label to mark the occasion. 60% Derwent Valley fruit brings a light and ethereal quality, with 40% Tamar Valley fruit bringing robust power. 2024 was a slightly warmer year so this is a a little more upfront and approachable than in 2023. 40% concrete matured and 60% oak matured, the former bringing tightness, focus and minerality to the wine. The latter bringing softness, plushness and texture.
