Wines included

Blind Spot Langhorne Creek Carignan 2020

Youthful red cherry and juicy blackberry on the nose makes this a brilliantly fun and friendly Australian wine. The palate is dangerously drinkable, with red and blackcurrant juice flavours. Simple and utterly charming.

Blind Spot Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Lovely plush and aromatic cabernet with black fruits and violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with wonderful balance, generous liquorice notes, violets and cassis. A long and impressive Australian cabernet which has all the typical components working in harmony.

Australia £9.95 per bottle

El Enhebro Monastrell-Garnacha Tintorera, Valencia 2017

A deeply coloured, powerful and generous Spanish red which oozes ripe cassis fruit. Made from a 50:50 blend of monastrell and garnacha tintorera (also known as alicante bouschet).

Jean-Pierre Moueix, Saint-Emilion 2016

A plush and succulent Bordeaux with polished, dark-fruit character and a long, satisfying finish.

Pinot Noir, Ostoros 2018

This top-value Hungarian red is more generous and fuller in flavour than in previous vintages, due to the hot conditions during the 2018 growing period. Don't expect Gevrey-Chambertin but do expect lashings of juicy red berry and bramble aromas and an effortlessly approachable glass of wine.

The Society's Southern Spanish Red, Jumilla 2019

Vibrant in colour, with crunchy red-fruit flavour and a touch of pepper, this inexpensive red really over-delivers on flavour. It comes from old monastrell vines in Jumilla, a small region near Alicante on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, a hotbed for delicious affordable red where there is plenty of sunshine to go round.
