Wines included
The Society's Exhibition Crozes-Hermitage 2021
The Exhibition brief is to express a vineyard in greater depth than the broader brush of The Society`s range provides. It`s nailed by this copybook Crozes, a 100% syrah with charm, precision and delicious, crunchy blackberry fruit.
Cairanne, Domaine Roche 2021
Very full-bodied, richly flavoured Rhône, from an up-and-coming estate that used to deliver its crop to the co-op. There are lots of old vines behind this excellent cuvée.
The Society's Côtes-du-Rhône 2022
Ripe, fruity grenache-syrah blend from an outstanding producer in Vinsobres. The colour has depth and the nose is beautifully marked by raspberry and redcurrant fruit. There is nothing heavy here, just plenty of vibrant fruit. Our new label depicts the rolling fields of lavender are so integral to the region and colour the landscape with their lilac and purple flowers.
The Wine Society's Generation Series Vinsobres 2021
Altitude and mountain breezes make Vinsobres the ideal place to source a Côtes-du-Rhône, and this example, made for us by our old friends the Jaume family for our 150th anniversary, has bright open fruity notes of cherry and raspberry, ripe tasting but without any heaviness. Ventoux Les Traverses, Paul Jaboulet Aîné 2022
Richly flavoured and fruity but always fresh red from the slopes of Mont Ventoux. Made from majority ripe grenache with syrah in support, it offers a spot-hitting and delicious palate of ripe red berries and a touch of spice.
Costières de Nîmes La Ciboise, Chapoutier 2022
From a stony plateau to the south of the Roman city of Nîmes. This is an exuberantly fruity grenache-syrah blend, rich and full-bodied with a touch of spice and a flavour of ripe plums.
